Event Details

Screen Printing Workshop! In this hands-on screen printing program, participants will help create a collaborative story quilt based on Faith Ringgold's Tar Beach.  After hearing the story of Tar Beach, children will think of their own story. Using paper cut shapes, they will then create their own design and  screen print it onto a quilt block. Two quilt blocks will be made by each child: one for them to keep and one for a collaborative story quilt to be sewn and displayed by the library. Grades 2-6.

This program is part of the One Book, One Cherry Hill series. Funding for One Book, One Cherry Hill is made possible with support from the New Jersey Council for the Humanities and Friends of the Cherry Hill Public Library.

Masks will be required for all indoor in-person children's programs.
