Join us for a conversation with Robert Strauss, author of The Final Founder, a biography of John Marshall.  Marshall is well-known as the premier Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (1801-35), but like Lin Miranda’s Hamilton, he was more vibrant than a fuddy-duddy judge. In fact, the musical could very well have been “Marshall!!!”

Robert Strauss grew up in Cherry Hill. He was a reporter for Sports Illustrated, a feature writer for The Philadelphia Daily News, a news and sports producer for Channel 3, and a TV critic for The Asbury Park Press and The Philadelphia Inquirer. Strauss also taught creative nonfiction at University of Pennsylvania for 20 years. He is the author of Worst. President. Ever., a biography of James Buchanan, and The Final Founder. Strauss is one of the founders of the Cherry Hill Public Library. He lives in Haddonfield with his wife, journalist Susan Warner. They have two daughters, Ella and Sylvia.
