The Life & Crimes of the Philadelphia Mafia with George Anastasia

"One of the most respected crime reporters in the country." – 60 Minutes

George Anastasia, retired Philadelphia Inquirer reporter and the author of organized crime books such as Blood and Honor, The Last Gangster, and Gotti’s Rules, will speak at the Cherry Hill Public Library on Wednesday, June 21 at 7 p.m. Throughout his career, George has seen the rise and fall of dons, gangsters, and wanna-bes in the Philadelphia area. He’ll talk about the history of the Philadelphia mob, their influence on the region, and even how Cherry Hill played a part in the organized crime tapestry.

Prior to his talk, there will be a ticketed VIP reception at 6 p.m. Ticket holders will receive a copy of his comprehensive book on the modern Philadelphia mob The Last Gangster, reserved front row seating, and an opportunity to meet George while enjoying light refreshments.  

VIP Tickets are $20 each and space is limited. Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite or in person at the Reference Desk (cash only).

George’s lecture at 7 p.m. is free to the general public. Doors will open for seating at 6:45 p.m.
