Seeing Gender: A community conversation on gender, race, and media

Event Details

This interactive community conversation will explore the triumphs and challenges of representation in mainstream media.  Participants will be invited to consider their roles as active audience members and the ways in which audiences contribute to the construction of meaning in our media landscape.  Particular attention will be focused on mediated notions of masculinity, femininity and the contested realities of race.
