This discussion will provide a closer look into the relationships among intersectionality, subjugation, and privilege and building the foundation for honoring the experience of another.

"Intersectionality is a framework for conceptualizing a person, group of people, or social problem as affected by a number of discriminations and disadvantages. It takes into account people’s overlapping identities and experiences in order to understand the complexity of prejudices they face." -YW Boston

Speaker bio: Samantha Rucker is a Master's Level Intersectional Feminist Counselor presently working with the Therapy Center of Philadelphia in healing the traumas of those within marginalized populations, particularly women and LGBTQ+ peoples.
