Event Details

History is everywhere along the New Jersey Shore, from the lighthouses that dot the coast to the Victorian grandeur of Cape May. Less visible are the stories of the women who helped shape its past.

In honor of Women’s History Month, CHPL welcomes author Karen L. Schnitzspahn for a program sharing the stories of some fascinating women who contributed to the shore region's rich history.

About the Author: “Jersey Girl” Karen L. Schnitzspahn enjoys researching and writing about little known aspects of New Jersey Shore history. As author of numerous articles and books, she has won awards for writing and her efforts to preserve the history of Monmouth County. Karen has a background in art and theater and has recently ventured into food writing because of her strong embrace on the rich agriculture of New Jersey. Learn more at www.karenlschnitzspahn.com.
